Friends of the Library (FOL)

NB-Friends of the Library Inc Mission:

The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes withing the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code, including, for such purposes, (i) fostering a culture of reading and school community by raising funds and coordinating and supporting events and programs that enhance the North Broward Preparatory School’s library system’s vibrant, pivotal role as inspiring connection points and enabling students, faculty, staff, parents and special guests to gather, interact, collaborate, learn, and grow; and (ii) making distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

Who We Are.

The Upper School Friends of the Library is a 4013c organization which raises money for the Learning Commons. Money raised goes towards events and programming like Author Visits, Book Fairs, and much more.

The Learning Commons, the heart of the NB campus, provides students, faculty, and parents with a vibrant haven to gather, collaborate, learn, and grow.

The NB-USFOL enhances the value of the LC with enrichment and community building programs such as: award-winning author visits, special collections, reading celebrations, book fairs, Eagles Read, book clubs, and writing workshops.

Together we are building a strong community of readers!

Parent Book Club

The Learning Commons Parent Book Club is held once a month in the LC Einstein Classroom. All are welcome. Books and dates will be posted here and on Twitter. For more information, contact LC@nbps.org.
